//Josh is a Newcastle-based Designer and Lecturer in Furniture & Product Design at Northumbria University.
His current practice and research explore the nature of cast metals, with a particular focus on sand-casting in UK jobbing foundries. Through his work, he examines the role of industrial craft practice in design and the embodied knowledge, skill, and latent potential in the traces of their work.
The goal with all of his work is to create characterful and easily understood objects, uncomplicated in their function, manufacture and assembly; utilising high and low-tech manufacturing methods to work already beautiful materials.
